How it started
On a family vacation in Orlando, we got to talking golf with an older couple. They were headed to Streamsong in the morning — a couple of courses there had just been added to the Top 100 US Public Courses list. They’d already played all one hundred. The list had changed, so they were driving down to catch up.
That was the whole idea, handed to us by strangers over a conversation. From that day on, my dad, my brother and I made the annual golf trip a priority, and we’ve been chasing that list ever since.
Dad passed away in 2021. He made it to about twenty courses on the list. My brother and I still go on an annual golf trip, and we cross courses off the list every year.
If Forecaddie had existed back then, I’d be able to open it up and see all of it — every trip we planned, every course we played, every year of it with my dad in the middle of it. That’s the part I can’t get back, and it’s the reason this exists.

What we're building
Right now a golf trip gets planned in about nine places at once. A group chat that never converges. A spreadsheet one person opens. Architect blogs, old forum threads, review sites, a rankings list, four resort websites, and a trip captain doing all of it at eleven at night. The information is out there. It’s just scattered, contradictory, and mostly written by people who have never stood on the first tee.
Forecaddie is your golf trip planner and your advance scout. We go ahead of the crew and come back with what actually matters — which courses are worth the trip, which ones pair well in a single day, and how far apart they really are.
We research and verify every course by hand, one at a time. Not scraped. When two sources disagree, we pick the right one. Today that’s 1,584 courses across 168 destinations.
Then we hand the trip captain the tools to run the trip: polls that get eight people to agree on a destination, a day-by-day itinerary, a map of the whole trip, and a private scratchpad for everything you don’t want the crew to see yet.
We’re not a booking engine. We’re the part that comes before it — the destination, the dates, and getting everybody to say yes. One source of truth for the research, the votes, and the plan, so the captain isn’t the only one who knows what’s going on.
Who it’s for
The trip captain. The one person in every crew who does the work — the research, the group chat wrangling, the “guys, I need a yes by Friday.” You’re not looking for a tee time. You’re building a memory the crew will still be telling stories about a decade from now. We’re here to make that a lot less work and a lot better.
The participants change. Guys move, guys drop out, guys we’ve lost.
